Add More Bandwidth
The most unique element of the Edge bandwidth shapers is there ability to provide an easy upgrade path when additional bandwidth is needed. By simply plugging in an inexpensive secondary broadband connection (DSL, cable, wireless, etc) an organization can instantly have access to additional network resources and thus improve performance and responsiveness.
The Edge bandwidth shaper family supports the connection of up to five WAN connections from up to five different service providers. No BGP or other complicated protocols are required. Simply plug in the additional WAN connection and instantly access additional bandwidth.
An additional benefit to utilizing multiple WAN links is that you have 99.999% uptime in the event of a WAN failure the other WAN links take over and continue passing traffic.
