Hardened Network Firewall

The EdgeXOS platforms has a built-in network layer firewall which can be used to create granular security policies to allow, deny, and log network traffic based on various administrative criteria. The packet inspection firewall can quickly determine if specific types of attacks are being made against it and adjust accordingly, including DoS attacks, SYN floods, fragmented packets, redirects, source route attacks, and reverse path filtering.

The firewall is easy to configure and is rules based which allows for simple grouping and modification as needed. Rules can be grouped based on name and applied based on group order. User control is also built-in to the firewall which automatically detects all physical addresses on the LAN network for easy administration and management.

The EdgeXOS platform is a deep inspection firewall that works in conjunction with our packet classifier technology to secure your network connections. In addition to the rules-based firewall the EdgeXOS can manage individual users through network access control and authentication.

Network access control utilizes an end-users MAC/physical address and IP address in order to identify the end-user and then grant access through a web-based interface, or when the administrator specifically allows that user access to the network. the NAC server can be used in conjunction with the Cloud5ecure client in order to enforce endpoint security for all users on the local area network.
